Car & Auto Insurance
Driving is a part of everyday life, but accidents, theft, or unexpected damage can leave you facing major costs. Auto insurance protects your vehicle, your passengers, and your financial security when the unexpected happens.
Insurance Tailored To You
As an independent agency, we work for you — not the insurance companies. That means we shop multiple carriers to find the right policy at the best price, ensuring you get coverage tailored to your lifestyle, vehicle, and budget.
Everything You Need To Know About Car & Auto Insurance
What Is Auto Insurance?
Auto insurance is a policy designed to protect you from financial loss in the event of accidents, damage, or liability. In Louisiana, drivers are required to carry minimum liability insurance — but in most cases, that’s not enough to fully protect you, your family, or your vehicle. The right policy gives you peace of mind every time you’re on the road.
What Does Auto Insurance Cover?
Most car insurance policies include:
- Liability Coverage – Protects you if you’re responsible for injuries or property damage.
- Collision Coverage – Covers repair or replacement if your vehicle is damaged in an accident.
- Comprehensive Coverage – Protects against theft, fire, vandalism, or storm damage.
- Medical Payments / Personal Injury Protection – Helps cover medical expenses for you and your passengers.
- Uninsured & Underinsured Motorist – Covers you if another driver without insurance causes an accident.
- Roadside Assistance & Towing – Helps when you’re stranded, locked out, or need emergency towing.

Comprehensive car insurance covers damage to your vehicle from non-collision events like theft, fire, vandalism, natural disasters, or falling objects. It does not cover collision damage. Comprehensive coverage is optional but often required by lenders for financed or leased vehicles.
Full coverage car insurance typically includes liability, collision, and comprehensive coverage. Liability covers injuries or damages you cause to others. Collision covers damage to your car from accidents. Comprehensive covers non-collision events like theft, fire, or weather damage. It does not mean “everything” is covered.
Liability car insurance covers the cost of injuries or property damage you cause to others in an at-fault accident. It includes two parts: bodily injury liability and property damage liability. This coverage does not pay for your own injuries or vehicle damage.
You can get car insurance without a driver’s license, but it’s difficult. Insurers may require you to list a licensed primary driver, such as a family member. This is often done for car owners who cannot drive due to age, disability, or legal restrictions but still need coverage.
